In case you didn't know it, in China, eating shark fin soup is a sign of high social status since it is one of the most expensive dishes of the country.
What is shocking in this practice, it is that fishermen catch sharks, their cut the aileron and then deliver in water, the poor beast eventually die a few days later.
This practice greatly upsets the ecosystem of the region since some shark species are threatened because of this practice, the sharks are very important to eliminate old fish and old marine animals.
